Few days ago the Gnu-Darwin project announced that the 1.1 version of its operating system has gone rc2.
Improvements to this release candidate include some bugfixes to the installer and to some applications. The Gnu-step environment is now reported to work better and some applications, xchat, OpenOffice and mozilla finally made their way into this Darwin distribution.

On the "action" side the project's homepage is now showing a banner to support the Indymedia nodes after the seize they suffered last week. We can just keep on supporting Gnu-Darwin and Indymedia both for their work in different fields.
